BUDDHA BAR

As a sister to Buddha Bar Paris, Buddha Bar NYC had to live up to it’s namesake – an ultimate dining experience and entertainment venue. The experience begins at the entry to the restaurant where a series of gold Buddha statues greet guest as they pass through the circular corridor, lit with custom uplights. The focal point of the dining area is the towering Buddha that sits at the end of the space with under- lighting to make the statue appear to float beneath the skylight. Pin spots illuminate the dining tables and graze bamboo scrolls that form the dividing walls between spaces. Color-changing fixtures provide interest to the bar and jellyfish aquariums that lie beyond.

HYATT REGENCY ATLANTA

Renovations to the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Hotel hold true to the design intent of Florence Knoll and John Portman, the 1960’s American design icons and original designers of the atrium-style hotel. Focusing on strong linear elements, the contemporary take on the original design is mirrored by rectilinear lighting elements in the guestrooms, lounges, and elevator lobby. Attention is drawn to the architectural elements of the spaces by cleaver use of wall grazes and ceiling coves to accent the clean lines of the ceiling planes and wall details.
